`        Jobs
Louis was stuck.  He did not know what to do.  He had a great job at DFU (Dairy Farmers Unite) where he serve ice-cream and candy to children.  He love seeing the happiness of the children getting there candy and it made him feel good.  But the pay working at DFU was not as good as an offer he had received from Sam’s Club.  He loved his job a DFU but knew the money from Sam’s Club would make it a lot easier to pay of his college loans.  Starting monday Louis would work as a greeter at Sam’s club.  Louis would make as a good greeter with his wide smile, positive attitude and big glasses.
On monday, it was a beautiful morning, the sky orange and yellow like an evenings sunset, with a calm breeze. He got off his blue scooter, thinking it would be a great day at his new job.  He walked in and introduced himself to his new manager, who was pretty cranky which Louis did not like.  He sent Louis to sweep the store before opening.  He was not a fan of sweeping but got over it thinking about the extra money he was making.
When the store opened a few people came in and showed Louis their member card and walked by.  Louis thought their lack of chat and happiness was just because it was early and everyone was tried, but the lack of happiness and joy continue throughout the whole day.  Beside the occasional little kid who would wave and say hello to.  When Louis got a back to his apartment he realized how sad of a day it was, then realized it had to be so sad because it was monday.  So he got excited about the rest of the week, hoping his job would become more fun.
The next day it was raining and gross outside.  Louis got to work and walked in a started sweeping the floors again.  His new boss approached his and told Louis he would be working as a cart pusher because one guy called of sick.  Louis was up for it, but after 10 minutes his shoes were wet and he was misrable.  At the end of the day he was extremely tried and slept like a rock.
On wednesday Louis got to work and it was just overcast.  He walked in and started sweeping.  His boss was having a bad day and let all his anger out of Louis, yelling and scolding him for no reasons.  Louis felt sad afterward and worked his day with a lack of happiness and smiles.  There were almost no children at the store that day he got to wave and talk to. He was starting to believe this job was no fun.
It was a fine thursday morning with the sun out and birds chirping.  That morning his boss said he was sorry and that he didn’t have to sweep that morning.  Louis got to socialize with his co-workers that morning and made plan to bowling on sunday with them.  Louis was good at making friends fast.  The store opened and a school bus of children arrived! THey were on a field trip to Sam’s Club to learn about grocery stores.  Louis waved to all of them with a smile and the children returned the gesture.  He thought maybe it wouldnt be such a bad job after all!  He continued the day, but no more kids arrived.  He missed the joy of the kids but realized it was alright.  He helped an old lady into the store and she was very kind and asked if he accepted tips, which made him smile but turned it down because of the rules.  Then an angry lady came in yelling at her kids and storming in the store with such negativity.  He asked her if she needed help and then she scrowled at him with a face like she would bite him!  Louis couldnt stand this madness!  He sat down and cried harder than any thunderstorm in history.
The next day he emailed to his manager the he wasn’t returning to his stressful position as the greeter.  His manager later responded saying he was sorry about the cituatation and he could come back any time but Louis knew it wasn’t about money any more.  It was time for him to return back to FDU where he likes to work even though it will be hard for him to pay of his college loans with the lack of money his was not making.  When he returned to FDU his old manager was excited to see him back and greeted him with ice cream to celebrate his return.
Louis took the next shift avalible that day.  Back to serving ice-cream to happy people and seeing smiles instead of scowls.  He forgot how much he loved his job at FDU, and he knew he was never going back to Sam’s Club.  Then a group of kids who were regulars came in FDU and greeted Louis back and asked where he had been.  He laughed and told all about how his little job change went.
